Steam's "Game Details" now lists "3rd-party DRM" :D
Submitted by smacker626 on Sat, 10/04/2008 - 2:45am. Not tagged yetI don't know if this is a recent change or not, but the "Game Details" block on a game's Steam Store page now lists "3rd-party DRM."
Edit: BioShock's SecuROM isn't listed, so only certain games will list the 3rd-party DRM. Hopefully all games added from now on will have it listed.
Example: Crysis Warhead.

Game review: Secrets of Great Art (2007)
Submitted by smacker626 on Sat, 10/04/2008 - 1:13am. Not tagged yetSecrets of Great Art (2007):
Secrets of Great Art is a good point-and-click puzzle game where you're either finding hidden objects in a picture, or finding the differences between a picture and a modified version of the same picture. There are 60 levels, and while the objects and differences in every level are random, the gameplay mode is not. Every level uses one gameplay mode or the other and it never changes, not even on different playthroughs.

I don't know what happened to them, but I think it was around the time that a big change was made. I don't really remember, I'm just glad they're back since they're pretty cool.
Tea and confusion

I've been trying to figure out a good process for recording -> editing -> encoding video for a while now, it's annoyingly confusing, hopefully I've pretty much worked it out now.
Time to eat. Later.
Rock Band (PS2)
Submitted by smacker626 on Mon, 09/29/2008 - 6:10pm. Not tagged yetI haven't written anything in a little while, but I'll get to that in a later post.
Matt, one of my brothers, came over with the PS2 version of Rock Band. It was pretty fun, I played the drums and guitar.
I've played a few of the Guitar Hero's at his house, and I sucked about the same. The 4th button on the guitar screws me up constantly. When I miss a note, I panic and it takes me a while to recover. And sometimes, I'll randomly fade in and out of sync, which is really annoying.
And of course, you can't add your own songs, being a console game and all.
