Netflix Queue limit

I was planning on cleaning my Netflix Queue soon anyway, but I just hit the 500 movie limit for my queue :P.

432 queued + 68 saved.

Movie: Next (2007)

I just watched Next (2007), and it was pretty good.

My only complaints are that the whole movie felt like it was going a bit fast, and Cris (Cage) was a little awkward at times.

The ending was good. I don't want to spoil it, so I'll just say that it's a cliffhanger that actually makes you want to know what happens next.

Rating: 4/6.

Hellsing Ultimate, what the hell?

I just saw the last 10-20 minutes of "Hellsing Ultimate" on Starz Edge. There's currently 4 episodes of Hellsing Ultimate, so I don't know which one it was.

Basically, I loved the TV series, and I've never seen the manga. I had read somewhere that Ultimate was supposed to follow the manga more closely than the TV series, so I wasn't expecting an exact remake of the TV series or anything. But then, back when the first episode was released, I saw the first few minutes of it, and it looked to be a remake of the TV series, just with a few changes in the style, awesome.

Don't buy a game on Steam until you're prepared to lose the demo

I ran into a familiar problem with Steam when I bought Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse.

First let me explain that sometimes, you want to keep a game demo and be able to play it, even after you've bought the game. In the case of Stubbs, I wanted to quickly show my Mom the beginning of the demo where the robots were hanging around the water cooler.

Now the problem. With Steam, if you have a demo of a game installed, and you buy the game, the demo goes away as soon as your purchase goes through.

So what's wrong with that?

Steam deal: Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is $4.99 for the weekend

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is $4.99 for the weekend, get it now if you want it.

Edit: Just bought it myself, the demo was fun, even if it had a few problems, e.g., not explaining how to use all of your attacks.

Pointless spam, and NVIDIA PhysX System Software v8.09.04

Pointless spam

What self respecting spammer sends pointless spam? (i.e., spam with no working links or anything that could make them money)

Note: Don't ask me how long it took to make that drop shadow :P. Unfortunately, the better drop shadow methods don't give any noticeable benefit when the image has a plain white background :(.

Now on GameTap: American McGee's Grimm: Ep 08: Beauty and the Beast

American McGee's Grimm: Ep 08: Beauty and the Beast was added to GameTap today.

We got digital cable today. Nothing interesting to say right now

The title sums it up lazily.

We upgraded from cable to digital cable, or however you'd like to say it. It just means we've got Encore and Starz among other things.

Technically this happened yesterday since I'm writing this at 5:13 AM :P.

GameTap's Kane & Lynch: Dead Men supports multiplayer

Stupid reasons for me starting Kane & Lynch right now aside, I found out that GameTap actually has a "Get Multiplayer Code" button on Kane & Lynch's Info Card. Plus, trying to start the game without the Games for Windows – LIVE software installed will just install it for you.

The game definitely looks interesting from the intro at the main menu, but at the moment I'm focusing more on why the Games for Windows – LIVE software doesn't have a Start Menu or Control Panel entry. I'd like to get a look at that screen I accidentally closed when you randomly popped up Games for Windows...please?

Now on GameTap: Kane & Lynch: Dead Men and American McGee's Grimm: Ep 07: The Devil and His Three Golden Hairs

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men and American McGee's Grimm: Ep 07: The Devil and His Three Golden Hairs are both on GameTap now. Be warned that Kane & Lynch is 7.15 GiB if you have the GameTap Client set to "Download full game," and it also requires the free Games for Windows – LIVE software to be installed.

I'm downloading Kane & Lynch now, I'll check it out later.
