BioShock activation limits removed, and I'm still backing up

I just found out that as of 06-19-2008 at 6:40 PM, the activation limits on BioShock have been removed, you still have to activate and have the Disc in the drive (if you didn't buy it on Steam or something similar) but now you can install it on as many PCs as many times as you want without having to "revoke" the old install, read the original post here.

Disc 4 of 14 of my Steam backup is currently being verified, and I cleaned my PC yesterday so I sh

An update on my Video Card

So the Video Card came yesterday, looks great but I haven't actually put it in yet because my PC was a bit past due for a cleaning and way past due for a backup & format, I've been putting it all off but I'm finally doing them now that I have more incentive, and the backup is taking forever. I started backing up at 12:17 PM yesterday (it's 3:12 AM now) and I'm a couple hours away from being done with everything but my Steam data, one step closer to seeing if the new Video Card fits and works, etc. I do have a Full Tower case and it looks like the Video Card takes up a little over half of the case so hopefully I won't have any problems with the Card's length. I also have a 750W PSU with Quad +12V rails and the right connectors for the Card so hopefully that won't be a problem either.

I love you too Windows, Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas reviews, plus, new Video Card finally!

I love you too Windows:

I actually beat Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas days ago and just haven't gotten around to writing the reviews, they'll be coming sometime soon, but I am going to play through both of them again soon (see the next paragraph for the reason) and I also have a lot of other games I want to beat, so I don't know when they'll actually be written.

New Video Card finally! (ETA: Tomorrow :D)

Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition, pre in-game impressions

Edit: Please read the edit at the end of this post for important information, basically the game was running too fast because I hadn't installed my AMD CPU's Drivers and a Windows update.

Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition ($49.99 on Steam).
By the way, I bought AC during Steam's last deal so it was 10% off or something.

First off let me explain something, there's the Intro and there's the Pre-Intro as I'll call it, and something there's multiple of either and or both, now, the Pre-Intro is logos and other things that we try to skip every time we see them because they're annoying as hell.

Registering a Ubisoft game

So, Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas are registered, the problem? They didn't ask for a CD-Key or anything that would identify a specific copy of the game, so what was the point other than seeing who would actually take the time to register? Maybe they just want people to get their newsletter? I "unsubscribed" from their newsletter a long time ago so they haven't gotten anything from me, oh well.

I wish that wasn't a Wall of Text.

Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One Demo

Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One ($19.99 on Steam).
Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One Demo.

I played the Demo on Steam about 40 minutes ago and it looks really good.

The game is a simple point-and-click adventure game with RPG elements (and I love adventure games), the combat is fun and the story seems interesting though you don't get a lot of it from the Demo.

Prey

Prey ($19.99 on Steam).

So I finished Prey around 5 AM, I'm not going to write a big review but I have a few things to say about it.

Rating: 5/6. I paid $19.99 for Prey on Steam and it was well worth it.

Length: My completion time was about 7h 54m, and Steam says I played for 13.9h (I'm obsessive and reload a lot).

The Portals: Some of them were "just there" while others were awesome for various reasons, i.e., realizing a doorway was really a Portal in a Door that just moved to another room because you pressed a switch, and corridors experiencing a "Spatial anomaly" (this corridor holds a not so hidden easter egg, I assume it's an easter egg anyway, a really strange one at that).
